As a preferred photographer on the vendor list for Stone Manor Country Club, I have known them since they opened.  This wedding venue is the most elegant and reasonably priced wedding venue that I know of in the Washington DC metro area. Located in Jefferson, Maryland, only one hour from DC, Stone Manor is more than a stately mansion, it is also a real bargain for weddings.  The very stunning stone walls, hay bales, and wood piles and a barn to capture both elegance and a rustic wedding feel make for some of my best wedding photos. Adri and Will got married at Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast.  Briar Patch is a bed and breakfast located in Middleburg, Virginia. When they hired me to do their wedding photography, I asked the bride to be why she chose Briar Patch over all the beautiful vineyards in Loudoun County.  Adri said that she chose Briar Patch for it's historical significance, and because she just loved the background and wanted that background in her wedding photography.  Lastly, she said that Briar Patch was so much more reasonably priced over the other venues. She was on a real tight budget, and decided to forgo some of the wedding details such as favors, an expensive wedding cake, and fancy place settings.  WHat was important to Adri was her photographer, and since money was tight that's where she chose to spend her money.  I hope that she liked my wedding photos after all that pressure!  Briar Patch is definitely a beautiful wedding venue to get unique photography in a vineyard setting. Not only were the bride and groom incredibly beautiful, but they are both genuinely nice.  You can tell when you meet good people.
